Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in psychiatric nursing. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health from Saint Louis University. My years of nursing experience have shaped the way I practice today—with compassion, patience, and an understanding that mental health affects every aspect of a person's life.

I work with individuals experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and other mental health challenges. I especially enjoy helping clients better understand their symptoms and find a treatment plan that helps them feel more like themselves again.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and straightforward. I want you to feel comfortable talking openly about what you are experiencing without fear of judgment. I believe you know yourself best, so rather than simply telling you what to do, I want us to work together to determine what makes sense for you.

I take time to understand your symptoms, experiences, medical history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. When medication is appropriate, I explain the options, expected benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives so you can make informed decisions about your care. I believe medication management works best when it is thoughtful, individualized, and regularly reassessed rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just your diagnosis. We will talk about what has been going on, what is affecting you most right now, your psychiatric and medical history, previous treatments, current medications, and what you hope to accomplish through treatment.

You can expect a relaxed, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you are encouraged to ask questions and be an active participant in your care. By the end of the visit, my goal is for you to have a better understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms and a clear plan for what comes next. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard and hopeful about moving forward.
