Great to meet you!

As a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20 years, I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual or family, so I have been trained in a range of modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Intergenerational Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Polyvagal, Mindfulness Based Couples Therapy, Strategic, Sensate Therapy, Solution-Focused, Structural, Experiential Family Therapy, and Reality “Choice” Therapy; therefore, treatment is based on the unique needs of the family or individual.

My approach to therapy

When human beings experience severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is to help guide people through the trauma healing process and find some form of peace in an ever-changing world. I guide my clients, who include teens, adults and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, supported, and respected.

The initial session focuses on getting to know each client’s unique experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy.

During this session, we will discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore relevant personal history, and identify the challenges you would like to address. Together, we will begin establishing meaningful and achievable goals tailored to your needs, whether that involves improving coping skills, reducing symptoms of anxiety or depression, strengthening relationships, processing life transitions, or enhancing overall well-being.

My goal is to create a safe, collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and actively participating in their therapeutic journey.

By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process, begin identifying priorities for treatment, and leave with a sense of direction and hope for the work ahead.
