Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Michelle Flynn, LCSW. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, a proud USF grad, and—just to keep things interesting—a physically disabled widow raising three young boys. So yes, I understand chaos, resilience, and the magic of hiding in the bathroom for two minutes of peace.

I work with individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and those “what-am-I-even-doing?” moments we all face. My approach is holistic—we look at your emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual self, because you’re more than just a walking to-do list or a ball of stress.

Therapy with me is a no-pressure zone. Think of it like a deep breath, not a root canal. I bring humor, honesty, and zero judgment to our sessions. My own physical disability gives me a unique lens for supporting others facing physical challenges or feeling overwhelmed by life’s curveballs.

And let’s be real—healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. You wouldn’t slap a Band-Aid on a broken leg, right? We’ll figure out what you need, together.

So if you're ready for real talk, a little laughter, and a space to just be human—I’m here when you’re ready.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process. My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and tailored to meet your unique needs. I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and solution-focused strategies to help you navigate challenges with greater resilience and confidence. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, or relationship concerns, I strive to create a safe, supportive space for healing and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions you can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental space where your experiences and emotions are validated. Together we will work toward identifying patterns, developing coping strategies, and building resilience. My goal is for you to leave each session with greater self-awareness, practical tools for managing challenges, and a sense of empowerment in your personal growth journey.

My style is laid-back, humorous, warm, empathetic, and goal-oriented. I believe in fostering a therapeutic partnership where clients feel heard, understood, and equipped to create meaningful change. Whether you’re facing a difficult transition, struggling with emotional challenges, or seeking personal growth, I am here to support you every step of the way.

I look forward to working with you on your journey toward greater well-being.
