Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Michelle Fumosa. I am a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) in NJ. I earned Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, with a concentration in addiction counseling, further grounding my clinical expertise in evidence-based practice and a deep understanding of substance use disorders.

With nine years of experience in the field, I have worked extensively with individuals facing substance use challenges and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of individuals, both voluntary and mandated, along with their loved ones and first responders on their unique paths to recovery. I bring a wealth of clinical knowledge, insight, and empathy to my work, grounded in real-world experience and a strong commitment to my clients' growth and healing.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is client-centered, rooted in empathy, respect, and the belief that every individual has the potential for positive change. My primary goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. I provide a space where individuals can express themselves openly, explore their experiences, and work toward meaningful personal development.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a collaborative process. I want you to be heard, to become a better person, and to provide you with the skills to complete your goals towards living a life with purpose. My goal is to ensure you feel welcomed and understood along your journey of recovery. I promise to provide you with a nonjudgmental, safe, and empowering space for us to work in.

Together, you will work toward healing and growth, with compassion, collaboration, and empowerment guiding every step of the journey. I am committed to helping each client become the best version of themselves.
