I have worked in the Brazosport Community as an educator and counselor since 1996. I served students and families as a teacher and school counselor in Brazosport Independent School District for 22 years and as a counselor at Brazosport College for 4 years. I began my work as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2015. I am passionate about serving my community and helping others to learn, heal, and grow.
My counseling approach is relaxed and collaborative. I believe in developing a strong therapeutic alliance with clients and working with them as an ally and partner in the process of healing and positive change. I support clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Integrative Health Strategies, Humor, and other approaches as needed to personalize treatment for each client.
I'm excited to work with clients as they navigate the stages in their lives. I believe people of all ages can make positive change to improve their relationships, maximize their strengths & potential, & work toward health & healing. I'm passionate about affirming & empowering others as they learn, grow, & find hope and meaning in their lives.
