Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Michelle, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My work sits at the intersection of identity, body, and healing. I specialize in LGBTQ+ affirming care, trauma recovery, chronic illness, and women’s mental health, including perinatal care. My particular focus is on neurodivergent individuals, including those who were identified later in life or came to that understanding on their own. As a neurodivergent person myself, I bring lived experience and genuine empathy to my practice, ensuring you feel truly seen and supported in a world that isn't always built for your unique mind or body.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered and integrative, focusing on building a collaborative, down-to-earth partnership where you are the expert on your own life. Rather than applying a single framework to every person, I draw from multiple therapeutic methods because your life, your body, and your experiences do not fit neatly into one box, and your therapy should not either. We will look closely at your unique history and lived experience to figure out the real-world tools and fresh perspectives that actually make sense for your day-to-day life. I see us as a team, meaning we work together as true equals and always go entirely at your speed.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about getting to know each other. We will use our time to chat about what you are dealing with right now and look at what you hope to get out of therapy. There is no pressure on you to have a perfect script ready; it is just a comfortable, welcoming space to talk. You always set the pace for what you feel ready to share, and before we finish up, I will make sure we have a simple, straightforward plan for our next sessions.
