I am a licensed mental health counselor with a master's degree in the science of psychology who works with elementary age and adolescent kiddos who may be experiencing emotional and mental health challenges. I have spent the last 9 years working in community mental health care working with a variety of children who have struggled with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, self-harming behaviors, ODD, and peer and family conflicts.
My approaches are person centered, solution focused, trauma informed, and customized to meet the individual needs of each client. I am trained in a variety of evidence based counseling methods such as developmental psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
I am passionate about the mental health of children and believe that early intervention is the key to building self confidence, resiliency, and develop strong social and emotional growth. I provide kids and adolescents with a nonjudgement, accepting, and safe environment where they can process feelings, problem solve, and learn coping strategies.
