Hello! I am a licensed independent clinical social worker and an oncology social worker concentrating on chronic illness, cancer, health psychology, survivorship, chronic pain, grief and loss and managing the medical system. I know cancer and chronic illness very well and i'm happy to help you.
My style is very much from empowerment based theories. I use traditional CBT, psychotherapy and create goals together with you that we work together to achieve.
I provide a calm, non-judgmental, confidential environment for us to work together in. We create goals, identify barriers, discuss emotions and feelings that help or prevent our goals. Often my pet therapy dog, Barney, a 14-year-old Shih Tzu will appear in our sessions. Sometimes I swear.
