Great to meet you!
Michelle McDaniel is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) serving the Central Florida community. She began her nursing career after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico’s Arecibo campus in 1998, where she started her professional journey at CAPITAS as a psychiatric registered nurse. From the beginning, Michelle focused on offering supportive, respectful care and building trust with patients.
Michelle also gained extensive clinical experience in cardiovascular intensive care, working at Pavia Hospital and Caribbean Healthcare Systems (also known as the VA). This experience strengthened her ability to care for individuals with complex medical and mental health needs with patience and understanding.
She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Sacred Heart University and continued to share her knowledge through teaching roles at Ana G. Méndez University and Sacred Heart University.
Throughout her career, Michelle has contributed her skills across several psychiatric hospitals throughout Central Florida. In 2023, she completed her PMHNP degree from Herzing University, expanding her scope of practice and continuing her mission to support mental health across the lifespan.
Today, Michelle provides outpatient and telemedicine psychiatric services to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Her diverse background, bilingual capabilities, decades of clinical experience, and commitment to a nonjudgmental, patient-centered approach make her a trusted provider and advocate in mental health care.
