Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree from the University of Kansas, and I approach therapy through a client‐centered lens. My work is collaborative, affirming, and grounded in the belief that people thrive when they feel seen, respected, and supported in their own autonomy.

I have several passion populations, including the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals within the kink and alternative‐relationship communities, and clients navigating anxiety, identity development, and major life transitions. I strive to create a space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment and with a sense of safety and empowerment.

As a person, I’m a bit quirky — the kind of person who loves ranting about a Dungeons & Dragons campaign and who starts far more craft projects than I ever finish. I’m human too, figuring things out one step at a time, just like everyone else. In therapy, I bring that same authenticity and curiosity. I’m here to walk alongside you as we both navigate this strange, beautiful, complicated thing we call life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client‐centered, meaning I view you as the expert of your own lived experience. I believe healing happens in a space where you feel respected, understood, and empowered to move at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to walk alongside you as a guide offering reflection, curiosity, and support.

I also incorporate narrative therapy, which invites us to explore the stories that have shaped how you see yourself and your world. Together, we look at where those stories came from, how they’ve influenced your identity, and which ones you may be ready to revise or release. This approach helps separate you from the problems you’ve carried, making room for new meaning, new language, and new possibilities.

Inner child work is another important part of my practice. Many of our patterns, fears, and emotional responses were formed early in life, often before we had the words to understand them. Inner child work allows us to gently reconnect with those younger parts of you in a way that offers compassion, validation, and the safety they may not have received at the time. This process can be grounding, empowering, and deeply reparative.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a grounded, human conversation rather than anything overly clinical or intimidating. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and in control of your own pace. The session will always belong to you. Your comfort, your boundaries, and your readiness guide the work from the very beginning.

We’ll spend time getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, and giving you a sense of what it’s like to work with me. I don’t expect you to dive into vulnerability before you feel ready. Anything meaningful will make its way to the surface if it needs to.

By the end of the first session, my hope is that you have a clear sense of who I am as a therapist, how I show up in the room, and whether this feels like a space where you can grow, explore, and be fully yourself.
