Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Michelle Peacock, a licensed clinical psychologist committed to fostering emotional well-being and meaningful personal growth. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University in 2005 and completed a rigorous inpatient internship at Friends Hospital, where I gained specialized experience treating complex mental health conditions across the lifespan.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, OCD and personality disorders. I work with older children, adolescents, and adults—individually, as couples, and within families.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person I work with. I believe that therapy should not only provide insight but also equip you with practical tools you can use right away and throughout your life. Every individual brings a unique story, and I take the time to deeply understand your personal history, emotional experiences, and the perspective that’s uniquely yours.

With over 20 years of experience, I help clients move beyond patterns that keep them stuck—whether related to anxiety, mood, identity, or relationships.

While I have advanced training in psychological assessment and forensic issues, my focus in therapy is on fostering emotional well-being, resilience, and meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I understand that each individual arrives with a distinct background, worldview, and set of life experiences. I build a therapeutic alliance rooted in trust, authenticity, and empathy, fostering a space where clients feel understood and intrinsically motivated to make meaningful change.

My clinical style is directional rather than directive, grounded in non-ideological, evidence-based practices. Through a comprehensive, integrative approach, I support clients in achieving sustainable mental health improvements and long-term personal growth. My work empowers individuals to create positive and lasting transformations in their lives.

I’m trained in several empirically supported therapeutic techniques and often employ elements of different modalities to form a cohesive treatment plan for each patient. Modalities include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Attachment-Based Therapy.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with practical tools they can apply immediately, along with a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotional and behavioral patterns. Our work together will focus on building insight, resilience, and meaningful change—helping you feel more grounded, empowered, and capable of navigating life’s challenges.
