Great to meet you!

After my family experienced something traumatic and we went through our own grief and healing journey, this experience helped me to relate to a broader range of folks who were also hurting. I became a mental health professional because I love connecting with people and want to help them navigate unique and challenging circumstances. I earned my MSW in 2017 and began working in the Mental Health Field right away supporting young adults/adults. I have a professionally trained Therapy Dog that I have been partnered with as a therapy team since 2018; she's an 8 year old, yellow lab, and her name is Wonton.

My approach to therapy

For someone struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or addiction, it can feel incredibly isolating. As if those struggles aren't enough, it can be challenging to connect with people who understand that experience without judgement. Sometimes we just need to talk through our experience to gain more insight. Or maybe we just need to learn some additional communication, boundary, emotional regulation, coping and mindfulness skills in order to better manage what we’re struggling with. Wonton and I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to be able to regulate your nervous system and start or continue the hard work that therapy requires.

What you can expect from me

If you are interested in Animal-Assisted Therapy and want to connect with a loveable lab, then Wonton and I would like the opportunity to partner with you to help you feel validated in your experience and offer tools that you can utilize in order to create more meaning and healing in your life.
