Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Michelle, I am a native Houstonian, and first-generation American who is passionate about supporting people who are seeking help. I received my bachelor’s degree in Houston at the University of St Thomas and my master’s in clinical psychology at Houston Baptist University. I completed my internship and practicum at The Menninger Clinic where I also worked for seven years. I have had the opportunity to present at local and national conferences and enjoy leading trainings and being involved in community outreach.

My approach to therapy

I am a person-centered therapist whose approach is highly dynamic and personalized to where I assess your needs are. I believe therapy is a collaboration and you are the expert on your experience. Together, I work with my clients to navigate their experiences so we can identify mutual treatment goals. I want therapy to be an empowering and rewarding experience. I utilize evidence-based approaches and continue to further my training to incorporate modern interventions and theories.

What you can expect from me

Your initial session will focus on accomplishing several specific tasks which include the following: establishing our relationship, informing you of what you can expect, and an assessment of your personal history, safety and potential areas of focus for treatment. I will make every effort to answer your questions and help you feel committed to your decision.
