Great to meet you!

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful tool for change, and I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to make their own decisions and work toward their goals. In addition to my private practice, I have experience providing both individual and group therapy across a variety of clinical settings. Much of my work has involved supporting clients impacted by alcohol and drug dependency through group facilitation and prevention services. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. I also hold a certification in Gerontology from the University of Texas at Arlington. My areas of specialty include: • Substance and alcohol abuse • Geriatric issues • Depression and anxiety • Women’s issues • Life transitions

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy centers on helping clients discover their purpose and meaning in life. I believe that when people understand what truly matters to them, they can navigate challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence. In our work together, I create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their values, reflect on their experiences, and connect more deeply with their authentic selves. Drawing from evidence-based practices and a holistic perspective, I guide individuals in identifying the patterns, beliefs, and strengths that shape their lives. Ultimately, my goal is to support clients in building a life that feels intentional, fulfilling, and aligned with who they want to become.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is to create a comfortable and welcoming space where you can begin sharing your story at your own pace. Before we meet, I’ll make sure all necessary intake paperwork has been completed and returned so that we can use our time together effectively. We’ll start by reviewing your forms, discussing any questions you may have, and clarifying your goals for therapy.

I’ll invite you to talk about what brought you in, what you’re hoping to change or better understand, and any concerns you may have about the process. This session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for my style and determine whether it’s a good fit for you. Together, we’ll explore what you need to feel supported, establish initial goals, and outline how we can work collaboratively moving forward.

My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and confident about the next steps in your therapeutic journey.
