Great to meet you!

Hey, I’m Michelle! I became a therapist because I truly cannot think of a better way to spend my time than creating space for the stories that need to be told. I believe deeply in the healing power of being witnessed with compassion and without judgment. I’m a somatic (body-based) therapist who focuses on trauma recovery and healing attachment-based wounds. That means I help people gently reconnect with their bodies, understand how their nervous systems respond to stress, and rebuild a sense of safety from the inside out.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m someone who finds joy in simple, grounding rituals — like wandering through the local library or enjoying roasted beets. I value curiosity, depth, and presence, and I bring those same qualities into my work with clients.

My approach to therapy

I help folks bring the body into the therapy room to learn what safety and regulation feel like for them personally. Trauma and attachment wounds don’t just live in our thoughts — they live in our bodies, too. Together, we’ll gently explore what your nervous system needs and move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful. We go at the speed of trust.

Not sure what it means to work with your nervous system? No worries — that’s my job to help you understand. My hope is that in session with me, you feel warmth, attunement, and genuine care. I want you to feel seen in both your struggles and your strengths, and to begin gaining clarity about how you want to move forward. It is an honor to hold space for your story, and I am truly grateful for the trust you place in me.

What you can expect from me

In the first few sessions, we’ll take a thoughtful deep dive into your story (the clinical term is “assessment,” but I promise it feels more human than that). I’ll ask a lot of questions — not to interrogate you, but to understand you more fully. I want to learn about your history, your relationships, your strengths, your stressors, and what brings you to therapy right now.

You always have a free “pass” on anything you’re not ready to answer. There is no rush and no pressure. You are in charge of your story. My role is to walk alongside you, assist in map things out, and begin identifying goals and next steps that honor all the parts of who you are.
