Great to meet you!

I’m Michelle Silva-Mera, LCSW, and I work with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that keep repeating in their lives or relationships. On the outside, you may feel like you’re holding everything together, but internally you may feel anxious, stressed, or disconnected.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My goal is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing, gain clarity, and develop healthier patterns so you can feel more grounded, confident, and in control.

My approach is warm, supportive, and practical. I aim to create a space where you can be honest about what you’re going through, while also helping you make meaningful, lasting changes in your day-to-day life.

I have experience working in community-based programs, crisis settings, schools, and private practice, supporting individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have shaped my approach to be trauma-informed, culturally aware, and focused on meeting you where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, supportive, and practical. I focus on helping you understand what you’re experiencing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways of coping.

I use evidence-based approaches while tailoring our work to your individual needs. Therapy with me is not just about talking—it’s about helping you feel better, improve your relationships, and make meaningful changes in your day-to-day life.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current challenges, your background, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together so I can better understand your needs.

We’ll begin exploring the areas you want to focus on and identify patterns or stressors that may be impacting you. I’ll also introduce practical ways to help you start managing what you’re experiencing.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of how we can work together and what to expect moving forward.
