Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in both Colorado and Connecticut. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 15 years and have been practicing as a therapist for the past several years. I primarily work with adults and specialize in trauma and complex trauma (CPTSD).

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping individuals better understand themselves while healing from painful or overwhelming experiences. I’m certified in EMDR and also trained in Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, which allows me to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs and nervous system.

I tend to work especially well with highly sensitive people (HSPs), deep feelers, and individuals who have spent much of their lives navigating emotional intensity, relational wounds, or feeling misunderstood. Many individuals I work with are thoughtful and self-aware and are looking for a space where they can process experiences more deeply rather than simply manage symptoms or day-to-day stress.

I especially enjoy working with individuals who are interested in EMDR and deeper trauma-focused work and who may already have some previous therapy experience. My goal is to support individuals in feeling more connected to themselves, more emotionally regulated, and better able to move through life with greater clarity, self-trust, and ease.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, compassionate, and grounded in creating a space where individuals feel safe to explore themselves honestly and without judgment. I believe healing happens through increased self-awareness, nervous system regulation, and developing a more connected relationship with oneself. I integrate insight-oriented and experiential approaches, including EMDR, while also incorporating practical tools and coping strategies when helpful. While my style is warm and supportive, I can also be direct and appropriately challenging at times when it supports growth, insight, and movement out of longstanding patterns.

I value authenticity, humor, and curiosity in the therapeutic process and strive to meet each individual where they are, honoring both their strengths and the parts of themselves that may still be hurting or protective.

What you can expect from me

The first session with me is usually much more conversational and relaxed than people expect. My goal is not to analyze you or pressure you to share everything all at once, but to get a sense of who you are, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what has or has not felt helpful for you in the past. I want individuals to leave feeling understood, comfortable, and like they do not have to “perform” or have everything figured out in order to be here.

I also try to match each person’s pace and needs, whether someone is looking for a slower, supportive space to build trust or feels ready to dive more deeply into the work from the beginning. We will begin exploring patterns, current stressors, and goals in a way that feels manageable while also making space for humor, curiosity, and genuine connection along the way..
