Great to meet you!

Between managing everyday responsibilities, navigating relationships, and caring for the people around you, having a space to talk things through, gain a fresh perspective, and find practical ways to move forward can help you gain clarity, feel a little lighter, and approach everyday challenges with greater confidence.

Hi, I'm Michelle! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is passionate about helping individuals navigate the challenges that come with different stages of life. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship difficulties, with a particular focus on maternal mental health and supporting new and growing families.

As a therapist and Certified Parent Coach, I also help parents manage the emotional demands of raising children, better understand their children's needs and behaviors, strengthen their relationships, and build confidence in themselves as parents. I enjoy helping clients make sense of what they're experiencing, recognize their strengths, and find practical ways to make everyday life feel more manageable.

My approach to therapy

Building trust and creating a space where you feel comfortable opening up, sharing your experiences, and being yourself is something I truly value as your therapist. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you better understand what you're experiencing while identifying practical strategies that can help.

I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and strengths-based approaches, tailoring our work to your individual needs. In our sessions, we may explore unhelpful thought patterns contributing to anxiety, practice ways to approach difficult conversations, or work through changes in your roles and relationships. We may also explore communication patterns, identify unmet needs, and strengthen your support system. Together, we'll build on your existing strengths and develop realistic strategies you can practice between sessions.

I believe therapy should offer a balance of having space to process your thoughts and emotions while also gaining new perspectives and tools to make everyday life feel more manageable. My hope is that you leave our sessions feeling a little lighter, more confident, and better equipped to manage the challenges you're facing.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. We'll spend time talking about your experiences, what's been going on in your life, and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. I'll guide our conversation with some questions to help me better understand your needs, but we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my priority is creating a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable sharing openly and being yourself. We'll discuss any questions or concerns you may have and begin identifying goals you'd like to work toward. There's no pressure to have everything figured out right away. Building trust and getting to know one another takes time, and we'll continue that process over our first few sessions as we develop a plan that feels right for you.
