My approach to therapy

I was born and raised in Miami, Fl and from Costa Rican background. I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I graduated in 2009 from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and have experience working as a therapist for the past 15 years. I utilize interventions and principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and follow a trauma-informed approach.

What you can expect from me

The lesson that I've been given by my client's; primarily trauma survivors and children is that we as a species are resilient . Given the proper support, determination, and will to love, we can Heal. Grow and Bloom! My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in exploring the answers you don't know you have within. I base my therapeutic relationships on empathy, trust, respect, and a collaborative approach.
