Great to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Slippery Rock University and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Liberty University. With over 14 years of experience in outpatient therapy and more than 5 years of supervising counseling interns and master’s-level clinicians, I bring both clinical expertise and a strong commitment to supporting fellow professionals in the field.

I have received specialized training in grief treatment using current evidence-based approaches across the lifespan, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My clinical experience spans a wide range of ages—from toddlers as young as 2 to individuals in their 80s—and I genuinely enjoy working with all age groups.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but I believe it’s a powerful and courageous first step toward healing. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered on your journey toward wellness.

My approach to therapy

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and healing. My approach is primarily person-centered, which means I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and valued. I view each person as the expert on their own life, and I work collaboratively to help uncover strengths, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.

In addition to person-centered techniques, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I also use Solution-Focused strategies to help individuals set clear goals and develop practical steps toward achieving them.

Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or just feeling stuck, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and help you make progress at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling supported, understood, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe and affirming space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment.

Together, we will work on developing insight, building coping strategies, and identifying steps toward your personal goals. Whether we are processing difficult emotions, working through past experiences, or developing new ways to manage stress, you can expect each session to be collaborative, focused on your strengths, and tailored to your needs.

Ultimately, I hope you leave each session feeling empowered, more connected to yourself, and confident in your ability to make meaningful change.
