Great to meet you!

I’m a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with training from Vanderbilt University and nearly 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families. I provide psychiatric care across the lifespan, including thoughtful evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy-informed support, and whole-person mental health care. I commonly work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, stress, burnout, and life transitions. My goal is to offer care that feels warm, collaborative, clinically thoughtful, and deeply respectful of each person’s story.

My approach to therapy

My approach begins with listening carefully and understanding each client as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms. I work collaboratively with clients to explore what they are experiencing, what may be contributing to it, and what kind of support feels most aligned with their needs and goals. When medication is part of care, I aim to be thoughtful and transparent, discussing options, benefits, risks, and alternatives in a clear and approachable way. I also value therapy-informed support, education, lifestyle considerations, and practical tools that help clients feel more grounded and capable in daily life.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a calm, welcoming, and unrushed conversation focused on getting to know their story, current concerns, history, strengths, and goals for care. We will talk through symptoms, past treatment experiences, medical and lifestyle factors, and any questions or concerns about medication or therapy options. I want clients to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in shaping their care from the beginning. By the end of the first visit, we will begin outlining realistic next steps, whether that includes medication, therapy-informed support, additional evaluation, or a combination of approaches.
