Great to meet you!

Many of my clients arrive feeling like they've hit a wall: depression, anxiety, or a hard chapter of life that just won't lift. I want you to know two things going in. First, I've worked with people for many years across hospice care, homeless shelters, and case management, helping them get back on their feet through some of the hardest circumstances life can offer. Second, I've been through real struggles and real failures of my own, and I've learned firsthand how resilient people can be, myself included. I bring both that professional experience and that personal honesty into every session. I'm married with two kids and two dogs, and I believe deeply that there's no stigma worth carrying about needing help. Everyone can benefit from therapy. We all need it sometimes.

My approach to therapy

My approach is simple and direct: I meet you where you are and start from there. My job is to figure out what you actually need, not to push you toward someone else's idea of what therapy should look like. I see myself as a facilitator. You set the goals, and I help you build the path to reach them. Therapy with me is honest, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you already have the strength inside you to work through what's in front of you. My job is to help you see it and to walk with you while you use it.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect from me from the very first session is honesty, kindness, encouragement, and full transparency. I'll walk you through the different therapeutic approaches I might use and explain why and when each one tends to help. I'll share how I see my role: not as someone with all the answers, but as a conduit for your own growth. We'll talk about what you're hoping for and start to map out how to get there. You'll leave the session with a clearer sense of what working together would look like and whether it feels right for you.
