Great to meet you!

As a psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience working with a variety of populations, my name is Miguel Koschil, MA, Ph.D., LCSW. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma stress, anger, loss-of-grief, self-esteem, and relationship issues.

I think psychotherapy has the ability to change people. The degree of motivation exhibited by the client is a better indicator of treatment success than the nature of the problem or diagnosis.

My approach to therapy

I practiced psychoanalysis in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before moving to the USA. Presently, in addition to traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy, I can also use other approaches such as DBT and mindfulness.

What you can expect from me

Empathy is vital for the therapy process. I will first build a therapeutic alliance by understanding the client's perspective and projects through a fruitful dialogue. As a therapist, my ultimate goal is to assist each person on their journey toward self-discovery and personal development.
