Great to meet you!

Thank you for taking the first step in sharing your story—your Mental Health Matters, and you deserve to be heard, supported, and understood.

Welcome to Integrated Family Behavioral Health & Counseling PLLC! I'm Mihaela Vladu, PMHNP-BC, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 16+ years of experience in healthcare, dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting mental wellness and regain control of their lives.

I provide compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care in a safe and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach focuses on treating the whole person—not just symptoms—while working collaboratively with you to reach your goals.

I specialize in working with a diverse range of individuals, including younger/older adults, children aged 6 and up, women dealing specifically with trauma and abuse, and veterans, as well as active-duty personnel experiencing PTSD. As a certified ADHD specialist, I provide targeted, evidence-based interventions to help individuals improve focus and daily functioning. I also have extensive experience treating bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, panic disorder, OCD, and other complex mental health conditions.

Areas of Expertise:

• Dual-Diagnosis Care (SUD + mood/anxiety/psychotic disorders)

• MAT: Buprenorphine/Suboxone inductions & maintenance; relapse-prevention planning

• Alcohol/Opioid Withdrawal & Detox protocols (court order MAT program, inpatient, outpatient, and halfway houses)

• Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis

• Residential/PHP/IOP programmed care & step-down planning

• Trauma-informed care, veteran populations, and complex comorbidity

My approach is to work collaboratively with you to identify the challenges you face and set realistic goals—both short-term and long-term. Together, we will explore various options and strategies tailored to help you achieve these objectives.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll take the time to get to know each other. This session is an opportunity for you to share your story, discuss your symptoms, and express your needs. Together, we'll develop a care plan that aligns with your objectives and lifestyle. I believe in the importance of getting to know each other, as this lays the foundation for our therapeutic relationship. Your story is important to me, and I am committed to working with you to create a personalized plan of care that aligns with your unique needs and aspirations.

To provide high-quality, ethical, and personalized care, all new patients are required to complete the Integrated Family Behavioral Health & Counseling intake forms prior to appointment confirmation. Please note that these forms are separate from Headway paperwork and include important clinical and legal information specific to our practice. All forms are completed securely online for the patient's convenience.

Our office is conveniently located just minutes from Six Flags Great America, and we are also available for in-person or telehealth visits on selected holidays and weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays. My top priority is your Mental Wellness needs!

Whether you're interested in medication management or exploring other therapeutic avenues, my role is to support your personal development in a way that suits you best.
