Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m originally from Japan and have lived in New York City for nearly 20 years. Over the past decade, I’ve supported children, adolescents, and families as a school social worker in both public and independent schools. I specialize in helping young people build confidence, strengthen relationships, and manage anxiety, attention issues, and emotional regulation.

In my online practice, I work with adolescents and young adults facing challenges related to ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, academic stress, attachment and relationships. I also offer parent consultation, drawing from evidence-based training in PCIT and Theraplay-informed approaches. My style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based—focused on helping clients build confidence, connection, and emotional resilience.

My approach to therapy

When working with adolescents and young adults, I draw from both behavioral and relational approaches to meet each client’s individual needs. I often integrate psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioral strategies (CBT), and supportive conversations that help connect thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My work focuses on increasing self-awareness, strengthening tools for emotional regulation, and building confidence in navigating relationships and life stressors—whether related to school, family, or social experiences. I also explore each client’s unique relational and social needs, aiming to create a space where they feel understood and empowered.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to help build a more integrated and confident sense of self. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling better understood, with practical tools to manage emotions, strengthen relationships, and move toward your personal, academic or professional goals. Ultimately, I aim to support you in building a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
