Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Mika and I am an experienced licensed professional counselor who is dedicated to helping individuals through challenging times in their lives. Using a warm and supportive approach, I aim to help my clients increase self-worth, improve relationships, build healthy boundaries, and reach their goals.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have a compassionate approach to counseling; nonjudgmental and supportive, yet challenge my clients to think in new ways that can help them achieve their goals of change.

What you can expect from our first session

I create a comforting environment for my clients to feel safe and secure talking about difficult topics and emotions. The therapeutic relationship is crucial, therefore it is important to foster this throughout our sessions. Goal-setting and breaking down goals into smaller, more attainable, goals is one of the primary focuses at the beginning of therapy. This will allow us to have an idea of where to start and what we are working towards.
