Great to meet you!

Mikayla Weston is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. She has worked with kids, teens, adults, and couples who seek counseling for a range of mental health topics including anxiety, depression, life changes, relationships, women’s issues, and more. Mikayla holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in marriage, couples, and family counseling, and partners with clients to explore where challenges and problems arise and empowers clients to see and make the differences they are hoping for.

My approach to therapy

Mikayla creates a counseling atmosphere that is inviting and comfortable, giving clients the space to explore their minds and hearts freely without fear. She uses an integrated methodology in session in order to help clients fit into a modality that matches their strengths. This way clients can get exactly the type of counseling experience they are looking for. Those approaches include aspects of person-centered counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused counseling, gestalt therapy, and reality therapy. Mikayla is trained in the Gottman method for couples seeking counseling, and is also able to provide nouthetic counseling for clients who are seeking Christian counseling.

What you can expect from me

Sessions with Mikayla will entail an inviting atmosphere to decompress and work through thought processes and patterns of behavior. Mikayla helps you develop goals to work towards so that you can move forward into the kind of life and mindset you’re hoping for.
