Great to meet you!

There's a point where pushing through on your own stops being resilience and starts just being exhausting. I'm Mike, a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adults and seniors navigating anxiety, trauma, panic, depression, and the kind of mood and identity questions that are hard to untangle alone. I'm LGBTQIA+ affirming and actively work with men who are ready to take their mental health seriously. I believe you already have strengths you may not be giving yourself credit for. Clients often describe me as direct, clear, and collaborative.

My approach to therapy

Our sessions are collaborative: I bring structure and tools, you bring your goals and your story. We work to understand what's underneath your patterns, process what hasn't moved with other approaches, and build the kind of calm that sticks rather than coping strategies that wear out. I'll always explain what I'm doing and why, because therapy shouldn't feel like something happening to you. This tends to work well for people who want to understand the work and are ready to make real progress rather than tread water.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know each other and figuring out if this is a good fit. We'll talk about what brought you in, what's been most difficult, and what you're hoping therapy can actually do for you. You don't need to have your story organized. We'll work through it together. If you have questions about how I work, I'd rather answer them upfront. All sessions are via telehealth. If you're ready to try something different, I'd love to connect.
