Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Mike MacCrory, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), and former college football player. I specialize in helping athletes, teen and adult men, children, and families navigate challenges related to performance, anxiety, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on helping clients better understand themselves while building the skills needed for lasting change. Whether you're looking to improve performance, heal from difficult experiences, or simply feel more like yourself again, I’m here to help.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s needs. I work to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being honest about what they’re experiencing without fear of judgment. Drawing from sport psychology, EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and play therapy techniques, I help clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and build tools for lasting change. Whether we’re addressing performance challenges, anxiety, trauma, or relationship difficulties, my goal is to help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing, the goals you hope to achieve, and any questions you may have about the process. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you feel heard and understood. By the end of the session, we'll have a clearer picture of your needs and begin identifying a path forward together.
