Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Mike McInerney, a full-time school counselor and part-time private therapist for adults and adolescents. I have been counseling adults and teens for more than 20 years. I am very open to assisting clients with many sorts of concerns. My focus areas include working with teens, school-related issues, and men's health.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is inviting and warm, and I use humor if/when appropriate. Working with a therapist should be tailored to meet your needs. Some people need a safe, confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Other people prefer a more solution focused approach. Working together, we will figure out what is best for you.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to make sure that my clients feel supported and understood. While I like to create agreed-upon goals to focus on, I also enjoy allowing clients to explore deeper parts of themselves.

Mike's style is

Open-minded
