Mike Ransaw

Hello, my name is Mike Ransaw and I am thrilled to partner with Headway. My journey in mental health has spanned Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric Care and Residential Treatment. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor & Qualified Mental Health Supervisor with a BS Degree in Psychology from Troy University and lettered as a member of the Troy University Trojans Football Team; MS Degree in Counseling from Barry University; ED.S Degree in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

My approach to therapy is solution-oriented, characterized by a mindset that focuses on finding practical and effective solutions to problems and challenges instead of dwelling on the problems themselves. Being proactive and positive, and viewing challenges as opportunities for growth and improvement to facilitate effective solutions to problems and challenges.

My reputation is one for providing clinically excellent, and client-centered care in a safe place while empowering clients to have a growth mindset being open to new experiences. It is my belief that empowered people have a positive outlook, cultivate an attitude of gratitude, and engage in self-care. This approach allows clients and I, to anticipate the next steps they'll take and any potential obstacles they may face as we work together towards positive outcomes.
