Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Michael Treptow, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who supports children, teens, and adults through life’s challenges. I take a warm and collaborative approach, helping clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and feel more confident in managing stress and emotions. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and school or family-related concerns. My goal is to meet you where you are and work together to create meaningful, realistic change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel supportive, empowering, and practical. I work with you to identify what matters most and focus on the skills and strategies that help you move forward. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, and approachable and someone who listens deeply without pressure or judgment.

I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness strategies to help you understand patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful change. I view therapy as a partnership: you bring your experiences and goals, and I offer clinical insight, support, and a calm, grounded presence.

Whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, or a life transition, my goal is to make sure you feel understood, supported, and equipped with tools that truly help in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and heard. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to work on, at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

I take time to get to know you as a person. Helping to identify your strengths, challenges, and the patterns you’ve noticed in your daily life. I’ll also answer any questions you have about therapy so you know what to expect moving forward.

Together, we’ll begin shaping goals that feel meaningful and realistic. Most clients leave their first session with a clearer sense of direction, a better understanding of the process, and a feeling of relief knowing they have genuine support.
