Great to meet you!

I am a licensed social worker with over twenty years of experience supporting children, individuals, and families. My professional background includes working in diverse settings such as outpatient community mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, and educational environments. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from SUNY Stony Brook and a post-graduate certificate from the NYU Silver School of Social Work.

I specialize in treating anxiety disorders and providing guidance during life transitions. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with.

My approach to therapy

I start by exploring your personal history to identify patterns and understand how past experiences may be influencing your current responses. Together, we look at what’s working well and what might be holding you back. From there, we build on your strengths and rework unhelpful patterns to help you move toward your goals.

I use a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and reality testing. These strategies help us challenge unhelpful thoughts, build motivation, and create meaningful change in your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, my goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel heard and supported.

We’ll start with an initial evaluation to get a clear picture of what brings you to therapy and what you’d like to work on. You’ll have the opportunity to share what you need help with, and I’ll listen closely to understand your concerns and clarify your goals.

From there, we’ll begin identifying practical steps you can take to start improving your situation. It’s a collaborative process, and I’ll be right there with you as we begin this journey together.
