Dr. Millian Okafor, DNP, has over 17 years of clinical experience, 9 of those years as an Advanced nurse practitioner. She earned a Doctorate in Nursing from South University, a Post Master’s Degree in Mental Health at Liberty University, a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner and an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from South University Savannah, Georgia. I have extensive diverse experience working with various age groups. I have held various positions in hospitals in critical care units and worked in private practices in the community as a Nurse practitioner. Throughout my profession, I have always had a special interest in my patient's mental health, which has enabled me to render holistic and compassionate care to this population.

I am focused on becoming a change agent to provide the best possible care to enable and equip patients to attain optimal mental health and wellness. I am family-oriented and believe in the importance and strength of family and the social support system. I deliver individualized, holistic care, combining evidence-based therapeutic interventions, medication management, and psychotherapy.

I am very approachable and non-judgmental in all my interactions with my clients, I show empathy and I am a good listener. I believe in empowering my clients with the resources and information that they need to become active participants in their care. I enjoy educating clients about their disease process, risk factors, treatment options and illness prevention. I specialize in treating patients with depression, anxiety disorder, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD.
