Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Jill! I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 20 years of nursing experience.

Throughout my nursing career, I've had the privilege of caring for individuals from all walks of life, each with their own unique experiences, challenges, and stories. These experiences have shaped my belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, especially when it comes to their mental health.

I understand that reaching out for mental health support can sometimes feel overwhelming or intimidating. My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where you feel safe sharing your concerns and being yourself.

My approach to therapy

I take a patient-centered and collaborative approach to treatment. Care is individualized to each person’s unique experiences, goals, and needs, recognizing the important connection between mental, emotional, and physical health. I believe mental health treatment is not one-size-fits-all, and I value taking the time to truly listen, understand your needs, and work together to develop a treatment plan that feels right for you.

The goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care decisions.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or other mental health challenges, I want you to feel supported, empowered, and hopeful as we work toward improving your overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

During the initial appointment, patients can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation focused on understanding current symptoms, emotional concerns, medical history, prior treatment experiences, stressors, and personal goals for care. The first session is also an opportunity to discuss questions, concerns, and treatment preferences in a comfortable and supportive setting. Treatment may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and coordination with other providers when appropriate.
