Great to meet you!

Mindy Beck, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Arizona native. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University and my Master’s degree in Nursing from Herzing University.

With over 21 years of sobriety, I bring a deeply personal understanding of recovery, resilience, and the complexities of mental health. This lived experience, combined with extensive clinical training, fuels my passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, dignity, and hope.

I am committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to each individual. I value authentic connection, empathic listening, and collaborative treatment planning to support her clients in achieving meaningful and lasting wellness.

My approach to therapy

I practice shared decision-making and work closely with clients so they feel informed, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I specialize in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and substance use disorders, using evidence-based approaches to support lasting mental health and recovery.

What you can expect from me

At your first visit, you can expect a full and comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. This initial appointment is focused on getting to know you—your history, current concerns, symptoms, strengths, and goals for treatment. Together, we will assess and clarify diagnoses and discuss treatment options in a collaborative, shared decision-making approach. This visit may include discussion of appropriate psychotropic medication management, when indicated, and how medication can be thoughtfully integrated with psychotherapy to support your overall mental health and well-being.

Follow-up visits typically consist of 30-minute medication management appointments. During these sessions, we will review how your medication is working, discuss any benefits or concerns, make dose adjustments or titrations as needed, and closely monitor for and address potential side effects. Ongoing visits are collaborative and individualized, ensuring your treatment continues to align with your needs, preferences, and goals.
