Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Mini. I'm glad you're here! I'm Korean-American and have supported other Asian-American clients on their mental health journey for the past 6 years, with 20 years of experience in total treating children, adults, and families of all ethnicities. I hold a Master's of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology, am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California, and currently provide individual and couples therapy to adults from multicultural backgrounds who are experiencing a variety of issues, including life transitions, breakups, chronic illness, substance use, addiction, infidelity, and parenting.

My approach to therapy

I consider myself a highly engaged therapist who compassionately meets clients where they are, often at the most vulnerable times in their lives. I have a trauma-informed clinical perspective and apply family systems theory in my work. I offer an integrative approach to therapy, customizing the treatment plan to your needs. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporate other modalities, including Interpersonal Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, you can expect to share your concerns with me in a warm, compassionate space, learn about my therapy style, and gain a clearer sense of your expectations for care during my thorough assessment.
