Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Miranda. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Prescott College and have additional training in trauma and the nervous system. As a licensed professional counselor (LPC), I’ve been working in the mental health field for nine years. I have experience helping clients with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic health conditions, and relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

My work is primarily influenced by cognitive behavioral therapies, mindfulness practices, parts work, and somatic therapies.

I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship based on respect, trust, and shared humanity as I believe it is essential to the success of treatment.

I am collaborative with my clients and encourage them to be actively engaged in their therapy process in order to foster a sense of agency and empowerment.

I believe one’s relationship with one’s self is foundational to their ability to heal and grow and therefore I focus on strengths and self-compassion throughout the therapeutic process. Additionally I feel it is important to find a balance between action and “being with” and therefore I support clients in exploring both.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help people relate to and navigate challenges more effectively and ultimately find more peace and enjoyment in their daily lives. What clients can expect to take away from our sessions are: thoughts to reflect on, exercises and practices to engage in between sessions, and the feeling that they're supported and cared for.
