Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience supporting adults and older adults through life’s challenges. I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University — Geaux Tigers! — and have worked with a diverse range of clients, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals living with chronic illness, and parents or caregivers of children or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, ODD, or a combination of these concerns.

I am a believer in acceptance. I believe that a client’s first step toward healing comes from feeling heard, respected, and understood. I work with clients navigating ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, stress management, anxiety, identity issues, women’s issues, chronic conditions, physical health concerns, anger, and caregiver stress. My goal is to create a warm, open-minded space where you can show up as you are and begin taking manageable steps toward change.

My approach to therapy

I use a mix of therapeutic approaches because life does not happen on cue, and wellness does not appear as part of a script. You will see elements of talk therapy, coping skills training, mindfulness, and practical problem-solving in our work together.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Together, we may explore how your thoughts, emotions, stressors, health concerns, relationships, identity, and daily responsibilities affect how you feel and function. More importantly, you will learn how to approach challenges a little at a time and allow yourself the grace to move at your own pace. Whether you are managing ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, stress, chronic illness, or caregiver responsibilities, therapy can help you build tools that feel realistic and usable in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

When our session ends, you can expect to have a specific plan to practice until the next session. My goal is for therapy to feel practical, supportive, and connected to your real life, not just something that happens for one hour a week.

You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental sounding board where you can talk openly, reflect honestly, and practice what you have learned. In our first sessions, we will discuss what brought you to therapy, what feels most stressful or difficult right now, and what kind of support would be most helpful. Over time, our work can help you strengthen coping skills, manage stress more effectively, improve emotional regulation, better understand patterns in your life, and build confidence in your ability to move forward one step at a time.
