Great to meet you!

I believe healing is possible when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Trauma Therapist with over 20 years of experience, I provide a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help individuals move beyond survival and reconnect with themselves. My work integrates the science of the brain and nervous system with practical, whole-person strategies that support lasting emotional healing.

I specialize in helping people recover from trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the emotional impact of serious illness, injury, or surgery. Rather than treating symptoms alone, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the root causes of their struggles while building resilience, emotional regulation, and self-compassion.

My approach to therapy

I draw from a variety of approaches, including trauma-focused therapies, cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, breathwork, guided imagery, and inner child healing. Every treatment plan is individualized because no two healing journeys are the same.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to gain insight, develop practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you've never talked to a therapist before. My goal is to make your first session feel comfortable, supportive, and free of judgment.

During our first appointment, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We'll also explore important parts of your history, including relationships, significant life experiences, strengths, and any previous counseling experiences that may help guide treatment.

This first session isn't about having all the answers or telling your entire life story. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You are always in control of what you choose to share.

Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and discuss a treatment plan that fits your unique needs. I'll answer any questions you have about the therapy process and explain what you can expect as we work together.

My approach is collaborative and individualized. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported while also providing practical tools and evidence-based strategies to help you make meaningful progress between sessions.
