Great to meet you!

I believe everyone can use psychotherapy at some point in their life. And if that time for you is now, I’d be honored to hold space for you and witness as you work through your challenges and celebrate your triumphs. I work with adult individuals and couples as they navigate challenges from transition, conflict, depression, anxiety, and grief.

I also have experience working with pregnant women, new families, and couples since 2013 as a birth and postpartum doula, yoga instructor, I enjoy working with women as they navigate transitions around the perinatal period including infertility, loss, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I believe it is essential that families receive support during this vulnerable time.

My approach to therapy

I work collaboratively with clients as we come up with therapy goals together in session. I have a warm and welcoming approach, building a rapport as I gently challenge clients to reflect on their patterns. While I draw from psychodynamic and attachment theories and cognitive behavioral therapy, I use a narrative lens, allowing clients to tell their stories. I believe you are the expert in your life. You have the answers. You just may need some guidance in accessing them.

What you can expect from me

I want to build a trusting relationships with my clients, and I gently encourage clients to tell me about their history and present at their own pace.

In our initial session, I will gather background information and context before collaboartively working with you to identify goals you would like to set. We will discuss how often we should meet, so that you can feel comfortable with the plan going forward.
