Great to meet you!

I have worked with children, adults, and families since 2002. I began providing therapy to patients in 2014, in clinical settings, such as psychiatric facilities, integrated care/medical facilities, and outpatient services. I have helped individuals who have experienced childhood trauma, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, substance use/addiction, domestic violence, parenting issues, loss of children, separation from parents, family court/CPS issues, and foster care placements.

Currently, I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, panic attacks, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship issues/divorce, grief, life transitions, and work-related conflicts/stress. I understand how difficult it can be to function in life and reach your full potential, due to unhealed trauma, debilitating anxiety, and lack of motivation. I applaud you for taking the first step in looking to begin therapy. Mental Health is a vital part of living and should not be neglected. I believe that the world has become more aware of this and has accepted it.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates psychodynamic, logotherapy, solution-focused, strength-based, mindfulness, person-centered, psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing. I believe that environment, relationships, childhood, and trauma have a great effect on our adult lives. Understanding that, will help with breaking negative cycles and also strengthen positive ones. I also believe in pulling from strengths you already have to help you succeed, meet you, and get to where you want to be. The three important tools that help the therapeutic process are listening, understanding, and healing.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help you find and gain self-fulfillment, positive self-esteem, autonomy for your own life while meeting your goals and teaching you healthy coping skills for working through life's challenges and changes. I believe that providing a non-judgmental, empathetic, yet direct approach builds trust, and assists you in starting your healing process more effectively.

My first session with you

I will review your symptoms and needs in our first session and get more information about your background, childhood, important relationships, and current struggles you are having. We will develop a treatment plan for future follow-up sessions.
