Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed clinical social worker and I work with older teenagers and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I have a genuine understanding of — and sensitivity toward — the Orthodox Jewish community and the specific pressures, expectations, and experiences that come with that world. Whether it's the weight of community standards, a difficult family dynamic, identity questions, or something you haven't been able to talk about with anyone in your circle, you don't have to figure it out alone.I want to be honest about who I work best with: clients who are ready to do meaningful inner work and are looking for real change — not just crisis management. I'm not the right fit for every situation, and I'd rather us both know that upfront than waste your time and mine.

My approach to therapy

I use a trauma-informed, integrative approach that draws on EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic mindfulness — not because I follow a rigid script, but because different people need different things at different times. I tailor what I use based on what's showing up for you.EMDR is particularly helpful for clients carrying experiences that keep surfacing in their daily life — in their reactions, their relationships, or their sense of self — even when they can't fully explain why. It works at a pace that feels manageable, and you're in control throughout.I'm direct, warm, and I don't believe in keeping you in therapy longer than you need to be. My goal is to help you build the tools and insight to live differently — not to create dependency on the process.

What you can expect from me

Honestly? Most people walk in expecting me to hand them a worksheet or nod silently for 50 minutes. That's not how I work.I'll probably ask you things no one else has asked. Not to be provocative — but because I've found that what brings someone into therapy is rarely the whole story, and I'd rather understand your actual life than the version you've rehearsed on the way over. We'll talk about what's been hard, yes. But also what's kept you from addressing it until now. What's worked before, even a little. What you're afraid this process might surface.I'll also tell you, plainly, whether I think I'm the right person to help — and if I'm not, I'll tell you that too and point you somewhere better. I don't take on clients I can't genuinely serve. You'll leave the first session knowing what working together would actually look like — not a vague promise, but a real sense of direction.
