Great to meet you!

Empowerment is key in therapy. I have more than 35 years' experience in the field, and am ready to heal the psychological issues in your life. Call me. Let me guide you as far as you are motivated to heal. I have strategies to help you work through whatever is keeping you away from wellness and joy. My expertise is in women's issues, LGBTQ+, domestic violence, trauma, substance abuse, crisis counseling, and all chronic disorders including depression, bi-polar, anxiety and addiction. Also, my mother had Alzheimer's for whom I was the caretaker. I know about the family issues which surface.

I empower you through strategies in; self-esteem, domestic violence, trauma, sexual abuse, and empowerment issues. With me, you are the master of your therapy and know what works best for you. I will provide you with the tools you need to heal and be in control of your life.

I strongly believe that my purpose as a therapist is finding what works for the particular client in front of me. No matter where you fall in the spectrum of empowerment, we start where you are and explore the therapeutic strategies which make you the most comfortable through this process. Therapy is your process so you can heal at your pace.

My approach to therapy

I strongly believe that you, the client are more knowledgeable about you and your situation, and so, I take a client-centered approach to therapy. I will be your coach, guide, cheerleader, narrator, and creative therapist to help knock down those emotional walls you have built. As Rumi said, the wound is where the light comes in--so, let's knock down some walls and you tell me what you want to work on to create an empowered you.

What you can expect from me

You will learn more about yourself, understand and raise your confidence and self-esteem in the process, and, you will find joy in your life--of course, all of this is gained through your motivation to change, if you want that to happen. I give more than 100% in therapy and always ask permission to talk about topics you may find uncomfortable due to trauma or other issues, and I will respect that.
