Great to meet you!

I believe that at the heart of healing is compassionate curiosity, and I bring this approach to my practice. I believe that in therapy, a client should experience a balance of feeling challenged and actively engaged, while also feeling fully accepted and safe. I bring warmth, playfulness, genuineness, courage and openness into our sessions.

I am experienced with guiding clients through recovering from traumas, anxiety, depression, addictions of any variety, navigating grief and life transitions, and relational challenges of all kinds. I have over a decade of therapeutic and clinical practice.

My approach to therapy

I am Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems therapy, and also utilize aspects of psychoanalytical and motivational interviewing therapies. I always start with a conversation about prior experiences you have had in therapy, both positive and negative, and what helps you feel that therapy is successful. No two therapist/client relationships are the same and we will tailor our therapeutic approach to meet your needs, regularly checking in and allowing it to evolve as needed.

What you can expect from me

In our opening session I want to make sure that you feel fully heard about what is bringing you to therapy and what kind of changes you hope to see, and that you walk away feeling hopeful. I will guide the conversation to help you share parts of your background and experiences that may be relevant, but you do not need to divulge your entire history as soon as we meet. I am interested in hearing about your previous experiences with therapy, what has worked and what has not, and I welcome you to bring any questions you have about me, my qualifications, or my therapeutic approach.
