Great to meet you!

Misha Turner is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and emergency medicine. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care rooted in the belief that every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered. Misha specializes in psychiatric evaluations, personalized treatment planning, medication management, and crisis stabilization, drawing on her background across outpatient, mobile crisis, and residential settings. She also serves as an adjunct nursing professor, mentoring future clinicians. Warm and collaborative, Misha tailors every treatment plan to each patient's unique needs, values, and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, attentive, and collaborative. I believe every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their treatment — so I prioritize careful listening and clear education every step of the way. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, I build treatment plans tailored to each person's individual needs, values, strengths, and goals. I also take a whole-person view, considering the medical, emotional, social, and environmental factors that can affect mental wellness, and I connect patients and families with community resources when that support is needed. Compassion, integrity, and a genuine commitment to whole-person well-being guide everything I do.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is to get to know you — not just your symptoms, but your full story. We'll go through a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation together, where I'll take the time to carefully listen and understand the medical, emotional, social, and environmental factors that may be affecting your well-being. This is a collaborative conversation, not a checklist — I want you to feel heard and respected from the very start. From there, we'll begin shaping an individualized treatment plan built around your specific needs, values, strengths, and goals, and I'll make sure you have clear education about your options every step of the way.
