Great to meet you!
I am a triple board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Certified Nurse-Midwife with over 30 years of hands-on patient care across many outpatient settings. My education has been extensive: I earned my PMHNP post-masters certificate from the University of California, San Francisco, my FNP post-masters certificate from Sonoma State University, and my MSN in Women's Health Care and Midwifery from the University of New Mexico. I also pursued doctoral studies in prenatal and perinatal psychology with a focus on trauma repair at Santa Barbara Graduate Institute.
This blend of psychiatric, primary care, and women's health training shapes everything I do. I have spent 13 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, 25 years as a Certified Nurse-Midwife, and over 15 years mentoring the next generation of providers. My career has taken me from managing a licensed birth center and serving underserved communities through Planned Parenthood to providing in-home care for high-risk pregnancies and full-scope family practice across the Bay Area.
Today my practice centers on outpatient psychiatric care for clients ages 6 through 65. I specialize in thorough psychiatric assessment, medication management, psychopharmacology, perinatal mental health, and crisis intervention. I use Motivational Interviewing alongside brief, solution-oriented and trauma-informed approaches.
I am passionate about serving the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent individuals, and I especially enjoy working with twice-exceptional and growth-oriented clients. My style is warm, empathic, and direct. I believe in treating each person as a whole, drawing on both conventional and holistic lenses to build a collaborative path that honors your unique story and goals.
