Great to meet you!
I embarked on my academic and professional journey with a deep commitment to understanding human behavior and fostering meaningful change. After earning my undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), I pursued my passion for mental health by obtaining my master’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University.
Both personal experiences and a profound appreciation for the transformative power of counseling shaped my path to becoming a therapist. Following the loss of my father, I discovered firsthand the impact that therapy can have in navigating grief, adversity, and self-discovery. This pivotal experience reinforced my dedication to helping others find healing and resilience.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship dynamics, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychoeducation, and Gestalt techniques. My therapeutic approach is both empathetic and direct, fostering an environment where clients feel understood while being encouraged to challenge themselves and grow.
I believe that while adversity shapes us, it does not define us. My goal is to empower individuals to gain insight, develop coping strategies, and move forward with renewed confidence and purpose.
