Great to meet you!

Thank you for visiting Little Light Wellness!

I am a board certified nurse practitioner in both psychiatry and family medicine. I received my Bachelors of Nursing through UT Austin in 2008 and my Family Nurse Practitioner Masters degree through UT Austin in 2014. I have spent the last 11 years treating patients with complex autoimmune medical conditions in an outpatient infusion setting.

In 2024, after realizing a need for holistic psychiatric care for my patients, I received my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification through Johns Hopkins University.

I created Little Light Wellness to integrate my passions for authentic, down-to-earth care, education, and empowering collaborative approaches to psychiatric treatment. My goal is to create a safe space for you to feel truly seen, heard, and understood as we discover what treatment paths work best for you on your mental wellness journey.

My approach to therapy

My primary treatment focus is medication management. However, I do incorporate CBT and solution focused approaches into our sessions. My therapeutic style includes encouragement, empathy, humor, working together with open communication to set realistic goals, and offering education at any and all points along the way.

My passions include working with adults with chronic illness/autoimmune disorders and those identifying as LGBTQIA +.

Growing up in the LGBTQ community, I have been an advocate and ally my entire life. Working closely with those with chronic/autoimmune conditions has intensified my understanding of the often overlooked and misunderstood mental health burden that comes with living with these conditions.

What you can expect from me

In our first few visits we will establish rapport, discover what your goals/hopes are for your mental health moving forward, and talk about your health/psychiatric history as you feel comfortable.
