Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatrist who values trust, collaboration, and care that adapts to each person. I welcome those who are new to treatment as well as those seeking a new path when past care hasn’t felt right, whether that means a clear introduction, support in taking first steps, or reevaluating what hasn’t worked before and finding approaches that fit better. My background spans both medical and psychiatric training, including an MD from SUNY Upstate and psychiatry residency and chief residency at Zucker Hillside Hospital/Northwell Health, which gave me a strong foundation that I carry forward in my work with every person I see. My practice is grounded in evidence, guided by safety, and centered on growth.

My approach to therapy

I help people facing challenges such as sadness, worry, racing thoughts, difficulty focusing, changes in energy or sleep, intrusive thoughts, the impact of stress or trauma, and the strain of major life transitions. Weekly sessions provide continuity and depth for progress, while medication decisions are guided by your goals and values. I also support people when standard options haven’t been effective, tailoring regimens to feel safer and more manageable. In therapy, I draw on cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and supportive approaches, adapting them to each person’s life. I welcome patients from all backgrounds, with particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and younger adults, and I strive to create a space where every person feels understood, supported, and able to grow.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll go over your history, current concerns, and what you’d like to change or improve. We’ll also see whether we’re a good fit to work together and outline next steps for treatment that feel clear and manageable.
